As you enter the gate our lodge, you will find a wooden plate with a message carved by the late Tabuchi on the 50th anniversary of the lodge welcoming you and indicating the warm hospitality that awaits you. As you enter the lobby of the lodge, you are immediately immersed in a fragrance of natural wood. You are entering the world of "shinrin yoku" translated as "forest fragrance". The main stairs leading to the guestrooms in the main building are made of natural Japanese larch grown in the area. While traveling up the stairs, you can admire the sculpture of pLANts found in the area as well as a beautiful scenic photos taken by Mr. Okada. Guest rooms: Main Building - These accommodations are private. As you enter the room, you will feel yourself immediately relax and unwind as you are immersed in the fragrance of the Japanese larch. You will also notice the quietness as your ears start to adjust to the sound of a nearby river flowing from the Alps. Annex - These accommodations are dormitory style and are shared among eight people. It is ideal for a single traveler on a low budget, a small group, or a family. It is a nice way for individuals to make new friends. Lounge: You can enjoy reading, looking at picture books and albums, watch videos of Yakedaｋe and Hodaka Mountains, and get information on climbing the mountains of Kamikochi area. You can, of course, simply chat with your friends or just relax. |

Hot spring: The best part of a hot spring is its power to relax and to make the aches and pains go away. However, at his mountain lodge, there is also a breathtaking view of Hodaka Mountains. Depending on the season, as the sun starts to rise early in the morning, the mountains become tinted with slightly red color. For environmental consideration, there are no baths in private rooms or in the dormitory. Our huge hot spring offers all the amenities such as shower, hair and body shampoo and rinse. The hot spring hours are from 5:30am to 8am and 2pm to 10pm. Souvenir Shop: The souvenir shop carries items form Kamikochi area, some of which are made by local craftsperson. The shop hours are from 7am to 9 pm. |
